Georgia Spring Break: Day 4 – Tellus Science Museum

Tellus Science Museum

This spring break take the entire family past the stars and over the moon with the Millar Science in Motion exhibit at the Tellus Science Museum tellusmuseum.org  located in Cartersville, GA. The museum boasts 6 permanent exhibits, an observatory, and special events so amazing, the kids won’t realize that they are getting smarter by the minute.

Younger children can take advantage of events like the Junior Astronomy Workshop and Build + Blast a Model Rocket workshop.

The Bentley planetarium ($3.50 additional ticket price) is a delight for the entire family.  The planetarium shows will take your family on a journey through our solar system, the edge of the galaxy, and beyond.

After a full day of exploring, families can take a break and indulge on delectable soups, salads, burgers, and hotdogs at the Tellus Café.  Be sure to get there early, as the café closes at 4pm, an hour before the Museum closes.

The Tellus Science Museum http://tellusmuseum.org/ is open daily from 10am-5pm
